The beautiful Poet’s Walk Park has two miles of trails which meander through meadows and woods down to the Hudson River with spectacular views of the Rhinecliff Bridge along the way. There’s also a romantic Overlook Pavilion (a great location for a wedding!), a rustic Summer House and plenty of benches to rest on or to just sit, relax and enjoy the view. It opens year-round daily at 9 a.m. The closing time varies from 6-8:30 PM depending on the time of year. Make sure you’re not late back to your car or you’ll get locked in! Allow 2 hours for the walk. Dogs are allowed as long as they are leashed.

The Park is located on the way to Rhinecliff, about a 20-minute drive from Woodstock. A great place to pop into if you are picking up or dropping someone at the Amtrak station in Rhinecliff. Once you cross the Rhinecliff bridge turn left onto County Rd 103/River Rd, the entrance to the park is about half a mile down on your left.
