The quaint town of Hudson is an easy 40 minute drive north of Woodstock. If antiques are your thing, then this is the place to go. In addition to the numerous antique stores there are an abundance of cafes, restaurants and watering holes.
We spent the entire day wandering about town, it’s incredible how hungry spending money makes you! We enjoyed brunch at Grazin’ (their spelling not mine), although it was a little too meaty for our vegetarian friend. I guess we should have taken heed of the name. In need of liquid refreshment we checked out the chic new Rivertown hotel bar and then meandered down to the Spotty Dog for a local beer & a book!
Would highly recommend as a day trip if you are spending more than a weekend in Woodstock.
